Update on Rideau River Pathways

Latest update from the City of Ottawa on the Rideau River Pathways:

Eastern Pathway – currently closed until as early as December 13. Alternate route maps will be in place at multiple access points.
Western Pathway – currently closed until as early as December 13. A signed detour route is in place directing pedestrians and cyclists via Lees and Robinson.

Opening of Lansdowne Outdoor Rink - Tuesday, December 2, at 10:45a

At a ceremony on Tuesday, December 2, at 10:45a, the new Lansdowne Outdoor Rink will be officially opened by Mayor Watson and Councillor Chernushenko. All are welcome to attend - and skate!

Latest update on status of Rideau River pathways

The eastern pathway is scheduled to close on November 19. Additional “share the road” signs will be installed along Vanier Parkway during the eastern pathway closure. The western pathway is scheduled to reopen as early as November 28. Please note that these dates are dependent on weather and work progress.

Reminder - Public open house for the Main Street Renewal project on November 20

Reminder of the public open house for the Main Street Renewal project:

At the public open house, the detailed streetscape designs will be shown, along with information about the public art selection, utility works, and preliminary construction period transportation management. All are welcome to attend.
